#pray4MH370 ; 60 Jam Sudah Berlalu Ya Allah...
- Today as we speak, 60 hours passed. Or heart goes with the next of kins of the passengers. All of us would like to know what happened with MH370.
- The DCA with all the assisting agencies have conducted a thorough rescue and search operation that covers the 50 nautical miles radius from the point of last sorted.
- We also conducted search of north of straits of malacca as we don't want to discount the possibility of the air turn back.
- We have also received cooperation from various neighboring countries in efforts to locate the missing aircraft. To date we have used 24 aircraft 40 ships 100 over men, 1000 man hours. Vietnam China Singapore Indonesia USA Thailand Australia Philippines helping. Air search conducted daily 7am - 7pm. Ships continue throughout the night. We have not found anything that appears to be from the aircraft. We will be intensifying efforts to locate the aircraft.
- There are various stories circulating from medias reporting items found. Vietnamese located a piece f the aircraft as reported - a door (inner part) but to inform all of you that it is not verified officially by the Vietnamese authorities to date. They have confirmed that they have not spotted any such object. Therefore we are unable to inform any of you that any objects have been located.
- From SAR, a few aircrafts spotted what looks like tail of aircraft, ships deployed to area - discovered it looked like logs tied together like a pontoon. Number of sightings made. APMM spotted oil slick and took samples and sent to labs. Results will be informed what type of fuel/oil it is. Various objects we have seen but none at this moment confirm any of them come from the aircraft. For the aircraft just to go missing just like that from the radar blip - many media/experts have contributed their knowledge as to what could have happened. We are equally puzzled. PM - perplexing.
- To confirm what really happened on that day, we need concrete evidence - parts of the aircraft to analyze and conduct forensic studies to determine what happened. No parts of aircraft secured to date. Intensified also possibility of air turnback in straits. These are theories, but we cannot discount any possibilities - a lot of work has to be done. Unprecedented missing aircraft mystery.
- We are increasing our efforts of what we have to do. MAS and all central agencies are helping us. Experts around the world are helping us. Yes there are reports about 2 fake passports - authorities concerned investigating the case, going through all the records and video footage - once we find something we'll let you know.
- There are issues about passengers that did not fly - ICAO Annex 17 - remove baggage that are checked in by passengers who didn't fly on flight. Passengers flying have been given identification tags for their bags with their boarding passes. Aircraft will not fly with unaccompanied baggage. Also there is talk about possible hijack. This is not discounted. We are looking at every angle. Again we have to have complete evidence. We need the aircraft. We understand you want answers and details and data. We are as eager as you are. I hope you will be patient. Our boys is rescue center and ships are trying their best to find anything in the areas identified and hopefully beyond that. Every hour every minute every second looking at every inch of the sea.
- At this stage we did not narrow any possibilities. Not narrowed to mid air disintegration.
- From the day the aircraft lost contact, we have received no signal.
- We will direct our aircraft in a way that they will not miss any areas covered.
- Will not reveal too much on two passengers. Any information revealed might jeapordise investigation.
- The offer we got from FAA, NTSB, UK and Australian. Nothing from French yet. FAA and NTSB are already here. Meeting them to discuss their contributions to our investigation.
- Will have to discuss to relevant authorities and agencies to reveal photos of two fake passengers to get public assistance.
- MAS: Chinese next of kin have been provided arrangements to fly to Kuala Lumpur. Two next of kin to fly immediately. Every passenger is allowed 5 next of kin, 2 for today and tomorrow.
- DCA: Question about home minister announcing that fake passengers had asian features. DCA REPLY- investigating team still doing their investigations
- As DCA we have done our surveillance and audits on KLIA. We have also been audited by the USA. Australia also audited us in recent years.
- Yes we have reacted properly. It is not an easy exercise. Experts have also said. Big area to cover. We have to all work together.
- 3rd day of operations - no time frame. Air France A330 - 2 years to locate aircraft. We have to take as long as it takes.
- No comment on heightening security in KLIA. It already meets international standards
