KUCHING: Sarawak and Sabah have not been exempted from the Goods and Services Tax (GST), to be implemented on April 1 next year.

Housing Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg told The Borneo Post this yesterday to dispel news circulating on the social media about Sarawak and Sabah have been exempted from this tax.
“It is not true,” he said in response to an article entitled ‘Tiada GST di Sabah and Sarawak’ (No GST in Sabah and Sarawak) on bnbbc.my.
