2) Rafizi and gang are now biting their fingers in misery. Little do they realize that 'Man proposes, God disposes.' Rafizi must be cautioned that once bitten twice shy, twice bitten don't try and if thrice bitten sure to die.
3) Azmin which was denied the MB post in 2008 could now sigh with relief as he had already gotten what he had always wanted. But Azmin's nightmare is about to begin.
4) Certainly, his adversaries in PKR are not going to be resting on their laurels and seeing him enjoying the benefits of his new position which he acquired by default.
5) Anwar is also in limbo with Azmin's appointment and is probably actively thinking of the next post-Kajang move. Rafizi' s allies and Azmin's foes in PKR are watching Azmin's steps. If Azmin stumbled, they will simply clap their hands in jubilation.
6) Azmin must ensure that he provide Anwar with whatever Anwar wants in order to safeguard his position. Azmin would not want to mess around with Anwar and put himself at risk in troubled water. But then again it will also not be easy for Anwar to mess around with Azmin as Azmin is also the trustee of Anwar's secret trusts.
7) But would Azmin last long as the new Menteri Besar of Selangor. His political nemesis have already given him an expiry date of not more than 100 days. They are now having sleepless nights and want Azmin to falter and fail quickly.
8) Whether Azmin can survive his antagonists will depend largely on how he juggles between self interests and PKR's interest against the rakyat's interests. Everybody knows that Khalid Ibrahim was displaced because he ignored his party man's interest.
9) Azmin is a politician and has no sound track record as an administrator. He has always played second fiddle and he will certainly find it awkward to be at the driver's seat now.
10) Many also opined that Azmin had made his first blunder when he told the Sultan of Selangor that his EXCO line up had received the blessing of all the heads of Pakatan Rakyat coalition which PAS immediately rebutted.
11) The deliberate scaling down of the EXCO seats for Pas from four to three is also another blunder. After all it was Haji Hadi, the PAS president who lodged his name to the palace when PKR and DAP refused to submit any other name other than Wan Azizah for the post of the Selangor Menteri Besar.
12) This is akin to a punishment for PAS. Perhaps Azmin has no choice but to succumb to PKR wishes in the spirit of PKR comradeship eventhough he should be grateful to PAS. Otherwise he will not be where he is today if it wasn't because of PAS insistence to abide to the Sultan's requests.
13) Some political observers say that the appointment of Azmin is a lull before the storm. It is certainly not going to be an easy ride for him. The political tempest corresponding to the post will be forthcoming and he must weather the storm and show that he is worthy of the position.
14) The Selangor Menteri Besar's post is known to be a Jinx as the last few Menteri Besar since the UMNO days had been dishonorably dislodged for some reasons or another, the last being Azmin's predecessor himself.
15) Be it as it may, let's wait and see. Azmin may have his way for now and if he thinks that his way is the highway he may end up in the same way as his predecessor. Anyway, good luck YAB Azmin. May Allah show you the path and his guidance - amien.
