1) The political drama of twist and turn on the issue of MB of Selangor has culminated to a happy ending for Anwar Ibrahim after the Pakatan Rakyat endorsed his wife, Wan Azizah as the only recipient for the post. The decision was reached at the Pakatan Rakyat Leadership Council meeting held yesterday evening.
2) With this new turn of event, only her name will be submitted to the Sultan after Azmin Ali decided to stick to his party line and gave way to Wan Azizah. Many feels that it's better for Azmin to toe the line and still be in the good book of Anwar Ibrahim then be later ostracized by his own Party.
3) Earlier in the morning, the PAS Central Committee has withdrawn their support for Khalid Ibrahim and named Wan Azizah and Azmin Ali as their choice for the next MB of Selangor. Mat Sabu, the Deputy President of PAS delivered the 'verdict' at a press conference after their Central Committee meeting.
4) Following this latest episode, the days of Khalid Ibrahim staying in power as MB of Selangor are numbered. The Pas Central Committee had also earlier overruled the decision of their Syura Council who had previously supported Khalid and rejected Wan Azizah as the MB of Selangor.
5) Immediately after the decision, there are now rumors spreading like wildfire amongst party insiders and outsiders that the element of money politics has greatly influenced the decision of the PAS Central Committee.
6) The Pas Central Committee meeting held earlier had also instructed their four state assemblyman to remain as EXCO but no mentioned of any action was announced on their two defiant ADUN that had earlier expressed their undivided support to Wan Azizah as the MB of Selangor.
7) This is comprehensible as action against their two defiant ADUN from Hulu Selangor and Morib will also incriminate the Pas Central Committee who has also supported the appointment of Wan Azizah as one of the potential candidates for MB of Selangor in their earlier decision yesterday.
8) Come rain or sunshine, Khalid will have to renounce his post much sooner as he no longer enjoy the support of PAS and must now seek audience and advice of the Sultan as to his fate and future in Selangor.
9) Political analysts opine that the Sultan of Selangor will have to decide the next MB for the state as soon as he comes back from abroad and with no more intense lobbying for the posts, it will be a lot more easier for the Sultan to make a quick decision.
10) Some party insiders have cautioned that the MB of Selangor issue is not just about PKR solely but it is a test of Pakatan solidarity and commonality. Pakatan must now put their act together as it has lost the semblance of party's discipline and unity.
11) Many political observers viewed that Pakatan's politics of lies, hatred and provocation that were maneuvered as a weapon of mass destruction against the BN leaders had boomeranged within the party and could lead to self-destruction.
12) Khalid has now become the 'Expendable' This is certainly not the first episode. More excitement and political blood bath will be coming soon. Khalid story is just another cliff hanger. Just wait for the next episode of the 'Expendable' in PKR politics. Whose next?
