1) The showdown in the Kajang by-election has begun. It was reported by UMCEDEL of the University of Malaya that 59 percent of Kajang voters want Anwar to become the next Menteri Besar of Selangor (MBS)
2) The Director of UMCEDEL, Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Redzuan, said that the prevailing remarks by some politicians that Anwar is not suitable to be the MBS was disproved by the outcome of the study.
3) According to the study, he added that the Kajang voters were in fact happy and welcome Anwar to be the next Menteri Besar of Selangor. However, the report did not disclose the sample size, sample frame and the methodology of the study.
4) The political flame is beginning to burnt like wild fire in Kajang. Anwar and DAP has started off their offensive mode against UMNO, MCA and the government even before BN announce their candidate for the Kajang by-election.
5) Its typical of Anwar to charge the political campaign with his fiery ceramahs, using the might of social media, their private print and electronic media as well as their covert operatives in the public sectors to condemn and run down UMNO, MCA and the BN government.
6) Many said that the audience are mesmerized by Anwar because he is an accomplished political orator. However, he lacks content and substance in his ceramahs. He doesn't offer solution but complications. Anwar has been harping on the same old songs many times over and people are tired of his political drama.
7) Anwar, a first time outsider would be considered an underdog in the Kajang by-election if he was a nobody. But the fact that he has a projected image of being the prolific opposition stalwart, he has sprung to become the leader and favorite in this contest.
8) If the result of the Kajang by-election was to favor Anwar then it would be a repeated episode akin to that of Lim Kit Siang, another outsider who won gallantly against Ghani Othman, the former Menteri Besar of Johor for the Gelang Patah Parliament seat in the last PRU13.
9) The victorious Lim Kit Siang won at the time when Pakatan was at it's pinnacle of popularity especially amongst the chinese voters who were adamant for a change in government in their 'INI KALI LAH' frenzy. Gelang Patah was a predominantly Chinese area.
10) There were other shocking casualties both for UMNO and other BN prominent leaders in PRU13. Ali Rustam who still has not fully recovered from the bitterness of defeat despite his exemplary service as the former Chief Minister of Melaka was another undeserving victim of the Malaysian political tsunami.
11) Political observers said that Anwar and his team of conspirators would again adopt the tool of lies, hatred and provocation against UMNO, MCA and BN to win over the voters psychological mindset. They have already become experts in embracing this political menace that BN War Room Generals (in this context) were made to look like private in the army.
12) The announcement yesterday of Chiew Mei Fun, as BN candidate is a clear indication that BN has a good choice of candidate to serve Kajang as well as the welfare and well being of the Kajang population. Mei Fun is one of the MCA vice presidents and a former Deputy Minister of Woman, Family and Community Development.
13) Though BN enters the political ring in Kajang by-election as an underdog but Anwar will now has to face a more credible BN candidate with integrity, experience and dedication. Hence, it would NOT be impossible for BN to seize the Kajang state seat especially now that PKR is saddled with a very serious leadership crisis.
14) The onus is on Anwar and PKR to convince the Kajang voters for the need of the by-election. Tun Abdullah, the former Prime Minister was reported to say that BN could win the by-election if it was successful in countering issues, especially the opposition and that Anwar does not pose any threat for BN to win in the Kajang by-election.
15) Anwar and DAP has already started their political bashing against MCA and UMNO leaders ahead of the Kajang by-election. It is expected that Anwar and Pakatan will embark on the force of lies, hatred and provocation as the 'weapon of mass destruction' against BN to win the Kajang by-election.
16) These politics of bashing and provocation will spread like wildfire and know no boundaries. It seems that our political virtue is no longer grounded on the politics of truth but that of political wantonness and lies.
17) Political analysts opined that the Kajang voters will reject the politics of hypocrisy and blatant disregard for democracy. They know that the mild-mannered Mei Fun is a better candidate and will support someone who stand steadfastly on the politics of truth and reality.
18) The heat of the political campaign is escalating. While a heavy rainfall is needed to ease off the protracted hot and dry spells in Selangor, the political wildfire in Kajang by-election will continue to burnt relentlessly with no regards to any weather conditions and malady.
